WHAT WE FUND-> ACF Grants Program | -> Fellowship In Public Policy | -> Ruth Atkinson Hindmarsh Award We believe that we can spark the greatest change by targeting our grants to innovative, Ontario-based projects in two major areas: Early Childhood Education and Development - Innovative projects that demonstrate how to improve the futures of children and youth at risk through more effective early years programming and policies. and/or Economic Justice - Innovative projects--including community organizing, research and educational activities--that foster community and policy capacity to reduce poverty. Like many funders, our foundation receives many more applications than we can ever hope to fund. Before submitting a proposal, please make sure to check out our criteria and application process.
Other Funding Programs The Foundation is a lead sponsor of the Canadian Index of Wellbeing, a new and transformational initiative that will report on the wellbeing of Canadians.
The Foundation awards the Annual Fellowship In Public Policy and the annual Ruth Atkinson Hindmarsh Award.
The Atkinson Economic Justice Fellowships support social change leaders to continue to think and act for a more just future for all Canadians. Applications are not accepted. Previous winners include immigrant-rights activist Uzma Shakir progressive economist Armine Yalnizyan, former premier Roy Romanow and housing activist Cathy Crowe.
